Today we are reviewing the Residential Rental Fair Housing Notice in Matrix MLS
1. The federal Fair Housing Act prevents discrimination against any member of a federal protected class.
2. In Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, there are additional protected classes.
3. Under these ordinances, landlords and Realtors® are precluded from discriminating against tenants with Section 8 vouchers or any other subsidized rent payment programs, as these fall under the protected classes “Source of Income”.
4. All agents entering Residential Rental listings must Agree to Fair Housing Attestation prior to submitting the listing.
