You will learn: (1) Why RESPA was enacted; (2) Who regulates RESPA; (3) Who does RESPA apply to (spoiler alert, YOU!) ? ; (4) What does RESPA prohibit?; (5) Why should I care (RESPA Penalties)?; (6) Statute of Limitations; (7) Sneaky Devils (circumventing RESPA); (8) VIOLATION #1 – RESPA §8(A): Anti-Kickbacks; (9) Exceptions from RESPA; (10) VIOLATION #2 – RESPA §8(B): Splitting Unearned Fees; (11) RESPA §8(C): Other Common Exceptions to RESPA §8(A) and 8(B): ; (12) Bona Fide Affiliated Business Arrangements (AfbA); (13) AfbA Disclosure Form; (14) VIOLATION #3 – RESPA §9: Seller and Title Insurance.
